Wk 1 – Art Experience – Plaster Casting

Hey guys so today was my first time doing an art project for my ART-110 class and might I say it was quite fun. Watching everyone get together by the Seal Beach Pier really gave me a new perspective on how art can bring us together. I’m not just talking about the classmates that showed up to today’s meeting, but also the bystanders that gathered around me while I was making my plaster cast. People came up to me asking what I was doing and some of them actually stayed until I finished. A nice older gentleman even offered me a bucket to help me out. By doing this art project I got to see a side of people I  don’t normally see.

P.S. The finished product didn’t come out quite like I wanted it to, but its still a masterpiece in my eyes. I originally wanted it to be able to hold a cup or something, but the pinky ended up getting stuck to my ring finger.

      1. oic… I saw it on your home page… but there’s no photo on the post itself… maybe you did a “Featured Image” (good!) but never placed one in the body of the post (both are good to have) Yes, I’ll take 1 photo if I have to, but for a process oriented project like this, a few would be nice! 😀 Thanks!!
